Scheld'apen verhuist in 2014 van de rand van Antwerpen naar de Ankerrui

en zal dan voortaan midden in de stad onrust zaaien. We nemen in het

overgangsjaar 2013 de kans om meer aanwezig te zijn in de stad en

tegelijk kunstenaars, en dergelijke, te ondersteunen en zichtbaar maken

in Antwerpen. We willen het komende jaar interessante

locatieprojecten uitvoeren en zoeken daarom interessante kandidaten met interessante voorstellen...

Hieronder vind u een open oproep naar artistieke projecten op locatie.

Spreekt het u aan, aarzel niet de bal terug te kaatsen en/of te passeren

aan gelijkgestemden.

Omschrijving:

Scheld'apen is een cultureel jongerencentrum en een kunstenwerkplaats. Scheld'apen geeft jonge artiesten een plek en steun om hun eigen culturele en artiestieke projecten te verwezenlijken. De prioriteit ligt bij startende groepen, artiesten en dramaturgen. We zijn een open huis, voor zowel het publiek als de muzikanten en kunstenaars, zonder conventies en met zoveel mogelijk interactie. We zijn een kunstencentrum en een muziekclub met plek voor experiment. Naast onze steun in de ontwikkeling van artiesten organiseren wij wekelijks concerten en feesten.

Scheld’apen verhuist eind 2013/ begin 2014 naar de Ankerrui, aan de ander kant van Antwerpen. In het volgende overgangsjaar zal de organisatie zijn kans grijpen om meer aanwezig te zijn in de stad. Er zullen projecten opgezet worden op verschillende locaties in Antwerpen, die de verhuis van Scheld’apen zou begeleiden.

We zoeken artiesten die hun werk (zouden) willen tonen in de publieke ruimte in Antwerpen.

Deze projecten zouden specifiek plaatsvinden tussen mei en september 2013.

Criteria:

- U bent tussen 18 en 28 jaar oud.

- De projecten moeten plaatsvinden in de publieke ruimte in Antwerpen. Hoe je publieke ruimte interpreteert laten we aan u over.

- Uw projectvoorstel bevat een korte biografie, een internetlink naar bestaand werk en uiteraard, een beschrijving van je project. Dit alles zou op een maximum van twee A4 pagina’s moeten passen.

- Projectvoorstellen zullen oa. geselecteerd worden op basis van uitvoerbaarheid, originaliteit en relevantie.

Description:

Scheld'apen is a cultural youth center and artistic workplace. Scheld'apen offers young artists the space and support to establish their own cultural and artistic projects. We give priority to starting young groups, artists and dramatists. We are an open house for public, young people, musicians and artists, without barriers and with the possibility of interaction. We are an art center and music club with space for artistic experimentation and attention to socially disadvantaged young people. Next to supporting artists in their development we also program many concerts and parties.

Scheld’apen will be moving to another location at the end of 2013. This will be on the other side of the city of Antwerp. In the transition year of 2013 we are grasping the opportunity to be more involved in projects around the city of Antwerp, gradually moving from the south to the north of the city.

We are looking to support those artists who work, or are planning to work, in the public space of the city of Antwerp.

Specifically from May 2013 until September 2013.

Scheld’apen wants to support these projects financially and logistically.

-You have to be between 18 and 28 of age to apply.

-Projects must implementable in the public space in Antwerp. How you define public space, is up to you.

-Your application must include a short biography, (digital) portfolio or a link to your website, a description of your project. All this in a maximum of two A4 pages.

-Applications will be mostly selected based on achievability, originality and relevance
